Welp, in my final submit I used to be fairly enthusiastic about grafting my unique entrance fender with substitute metallic from a W&N fender. For a month I labored on the motive force/entrance fender every time I had spare time (about 12 hours complete) solely to comprehend that the highest horizontal edge started to angle downward as you moved from the door to the flip sign. A giant bummer.

Not dwelling on the mishap I instantly purchased one other fender from W&N and had it on my doorstep in 4 days.

After watching a pair movies About getting reproduction fenders to suit properly by Restorezone on YouTube, I used to be able to deal with the job of bonding my pig cheek flare to a metallic fender.

First I made positive the fender match correctly. This was achieved by making a number of reduction cuts.

It feels actually good to be at this level. I managed to knock the whole lot out over three days.

I’ll be transferring onto the drivers facet rear flare subsequent. Which needs to be a breeze. I discovered a lot from my errors and I’m feeling assured the passenger facet will go easily.

Until subsequent time,

Jason
