Tesla pauses Model 3 Highland deliveries in Australia

Tesla has paused Mannequin 3 Highland deliveries in Australia because of a “technical compliance” difficulty. The Texas-based automaker despatched emails to Tesla Mannequin 3 reservation holders in Australia, informing them of the pause in supply.

“We remorse to tell you that deliveries of Mannequin 3 in Australia might be paused from shut of enterprise on 17 January 2024.

“This pause is expounded to a technical compliance matter that we’re working intently with the related authorities,” Tesla advised Mannequin 3 reservation holders within the e-mail.

Tesla maintained a constructive outlook on the matter, writing that the technical compliance difficulty might result in a delay in supply and never an entire cease. The all-electric automaker estimates it could resume Mannequin 3 deliveries in a number of weeks.

The technical compliance difficulty is perhaps associated to the investigation of the Model 3’s top-tether anchor point used to safe automobile seats for youngsters. The upgraded Mannequin 3 had a top-tether anchor level, following the Australia Design Guidelines (ADR). Nevertheless, the anchor level doesn’t observe the ADR’s description to the tee, inflicting points with federal regulators in Australia.

A bunch of Model 3 Highland units landed in Australia not too long ago in Sydney. The items appear charged and able to be handed over to their new homeowners. Sadly, Mannequin 3 reservation holders should wait a little bit longer for his or her new Tesla vehicles.
